Happy Holidays, FusionInvoicers!
We’re delighted to announce the release of FusionInvoice 2024-3.0—an update packed with dozens of your most-requested enhancements, a wide range of fresh features, and an all-around improved user experience. Our team has been hard at work over the past several months, and we’re thrilled to bring you a major leap forward for FusionInvoice. We can’t wait for you to explore everything this release has to offer!
Important Things to Know Before You Upgrade
There are several important changes that will affect your existing installation. Please review these carefully:
Daily Task Execution & CRON Job Changes:
The method for running daily tasks has changed. The old CURL-based command no longer works. You must update your CRON job to the new URL call method. Please consult our updated documentation for instructions on implementing the new daily task schedule.
Database UTF8-MB4 Support:
All databases and their tables should now be set to use UTF8-MB4. This is mandatory for the new emoji and enhanced character support features. Update your database and tables before upgrading.
Removed Microsoft Graph and MS 365 Email Support:
Support for MS Graph and MS 365 email integration has been removed, along with all related vendor libraries. If you rely on this integration, please prepare an alternate mail configuration prior to upgrading.
After Your Upgrade
File-Based Attachments Only:
With the previous release, attachments shifted to file-based storage. This update removes support for database-based attachments entirely. Verify that your attachments have been migrated and confirm proper functioning after the upgrade.
Invoice Template and Field Changes:
The default invoice template has been updated to include new fields such as "PO Number" and "Ship To" addresses. If you use custom invoice templates, ensure compatibility with these changes.
Credit Card Convenience Fees & Taxation:
We’ve introduced a new credit card convenience fee structure. If you charge these fees, please review and confirm that the new taxation logic applies correctly after upgrading.
