Hello FusionInvoicers!

We pleased to announce the release of FusionInvoice 2024-3.02!

This is primarily a maintenance release that addresses several bugs that were reported in the earlier versions. There are a few minor improvements to the menu system and several improvements to reports with respect to taxes.

New Features

• The ability to execute the Daily Tasks run was expanded to allow two different methods. This setting is available within System Settings -> General.
  • “Private mode”, where it can only execute when it is called from the same machine that is hosting the website (this was the new default with the 2024-3.0 release)
  •  “Public Mode”, where it can be executed from any location. 
• The configuration menu for the Pricing Formulas add-on was moved to the Add-ons, record area, Options menu.
• Added a total for the Expense Amount column on the Tax Report - Detail. (2624)
• Added the individual Tax column grand totals to the Tax Report - Detail, on the Invoices (Sales) section. (2626)
• Several changes to menu item locations and naming with the System Settings -> Configuration submenu. (2634)

Bugs Fixed

• On invoice line item entry, changing the price of an item that was previously stored as an item lookup, and then changing the quantity of the same item, could cause the price to revert to it’s stored price, when it should have stayed at the adjusted price. Fixed. (2627)
• Some totals on the KPI cards were incorrect on the 31st of any given month, if the date selection was set to “This Month”. Fixed. (2536)
• Expenses that were entered in a Euro (EUR) currency format could incorrectly reformat and/or drop the comma as the decimal place in the amount, causing an amount entered as 78,60 to display as 7800. Fixed. (2554)
• In some cases the totals of the Item Sales Report could be inaccurate, when run by a date range of the current month, ordered by Invoice Date. Fixed. (2537)
• For the E-Invoicing - Germany add-on, using the WKHTMLTOPDF driver could cause an error related to “directory not found”. Fixed. (2505)
• The tax calculations on the Expense List report for VAT / GST style taxes entered as a “Expense with Deductible Tax” were incorrectly adding the taxes to the totals. Fixed. (2623)
• The Tax Report - Detail date range selection could yield different results from the Tax Report - Summary version. Fixed. (2625)
• The Profit and Loss report did not include the Tax 2 field from Expenses entries that were assigned a Tax 2 value. Fixed. (2636)
• Added a check for a proper ‘url’ entry in the app.php setting for ‘APP_URL’. If this is set to localhost, a warning will be shown on login. An incorrect entry here, could cause automated emails, that contained links to invoices, to reference “localhost” as the base URL instead of your actual FusionInvoice URL. (2621)
• The client’s company name was missing on the default Quote template. Fixed. (2622)
• A phone number formatting issue was identified for Denmark and several other countries that could cause a client save to fail validation unless another format/country was selected. Fixed. (2628)
• An error could display when upgrading, stating ”General error: 3886 Could not change column 'invoice_prefix' of table 'clients'. The resulting size of index 'invoice_prefix' would exceed the max key length of 1000 bytes.” This was related to adding DB support for UTF8MB4. A migration was added to reduce the length of this field. Fixed. (2635)
